Great Yarmouth

If you are looking for a seaside resort with a glorious sandy beach that stretches as far as the eye can see and plenty of amusements and entertainment to keep the kids happy, Great Yarmouth is the place to visit! The town centre is a bustling mixture of shops, with souvenir style shops aimed at tourists, high street named stores and the famous Yarmouth Market. Along the front you will find donkey rides on the beach, amusement arcades, crazy golf, bowls greens, tea shops, Merrivale Model Village, Joyland childrens theme park, ice cream kiosks, Pleasure Beach large theme park, a Sea Life Centre and more.

Great Yarmouth Piers and Attractions

At the North end of the 'Golden Mile' you will find Britannia Pier with its large theatre, that plays host to well known comedians, music concerts and shows throughout the holiday season. The pier has funfair style rides at the very end of the pier, amusement arcades, restaurants, food kiosks and it also houses two bars; the Pier Tavern and Long Johns Showbar.
Next to Britannia Pier on the front is the childrens theme park Joyland that has been operating here since 1949. Joyland is the original home of the Snails rollercoaster ride which is world famous. Other rides include the Spook Express, Toytown Mountain, Pirate Ship and many more for the younger visitors to enjoy.


Wellington Pier is located at the other end of the seafront on South Beach Parade next to the Winter Gardens glass house (the Winter Gardens is currently closed). Within the pier you will find a state of the art amusement arcade including high Jackpot machines, a tenpin bowling alley, a Cafe and Bar.
Just to the South of Wellington Pier you will find Merrivale Model Village set in one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, with its own Tea Rooms, Gift Shop and authentic Penny Arcade full of Vintage Slot Machines that you can still play. As you walk around the gardens admiring the water features and detailed model buildings you will notice the nearly 400 metre long model railway that weaves throughout the gardens, passing through stations and villages as it goes on its journey.
